About the role
As a ​Fund Services Senior Accountant you will work in a team of bright and motivated individuals to drive the growth and performance of the fundcraft brand. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be an integral part of building up our accounting excellence team in Girona.
What you can expect to do in the role
Key Responsibilities:

  • You will manage the accounting for a portfolio of clients
  • You will learn everything there is to know about fund accounting and get to know your clients’ needs and intricacies
  • You will be responsible for their periodic & year-end closings, financial statements, and other regulatory reporting
  • You will prepare, in collaboration with a Luxembourg expert,  Corporate Tax returns and VAT returns
  • You will participate in the elaboration of the Net Asset Value calculation and its accurate and timely delivery together with the CRM in charge of the client 
  • You will handle enquiries of auditors and tax inspectors as well as internal accounting-related cases
  • You will ensure the accuracy and quality of the financial statements prepared by (junior) accountants
  • You will coach and guide (junior) accountants who work on the same portfolio as yourself 
  • You will actively participate in advancing the company’s proprietary platform through your expertise, regular testing, and your feedback to the product team

How you will be successful in your application
Must-Have Experience / Qualifications:

  • You hold a diploma in Accounting, Audit/Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent
  • You have a professional experience of more than 5 years as an accountant 
  • Spanish: fluent level (spoken and written)
  • English: fluent level (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • You are familiar with IFRS and international GAAP, such as US GAAP, Luxembourg GAAP, or German GAAP
  • You are excited to learn about alternative investment funds and its specificities, such as Net Asset Value calculation
